Moulin Rouge on Sydney Harbour

I arranged for a harbour cruise to be taken for one of my dear friend’s bridal showers/hen’s night. The other bridesmaid chanced upon Sydney Showboats via Google, and by chance also, I discovered that it’s in the Entertainment Book. The cruise was 2.5 hours, including 3 course dinner and 1 hour show.

Me and the bride to be in front of our boat, it’s one of those old fashioned boats.

Dinner is waiting for us at our table when we board

Due to copyright issues, photos are not allowed during the show. The ‘show’ consists of dancing using styles of around the world like Las Vegas, African, Thai, Indian, France. There were a lot of tourists of India, and when they started dancing Indian, they seemed to recognise the song, chuckled and clapped along, which revved up the atmosphere of the cruise. In between each song, a singer would come out and belt out a tune. A friend of mine commented she felt the cruise was worth the money because they put a lot of effort into the show. For me, the image that left a lasting impression was the gorgeous dancers with enviable bodies.

If I had to make one complaint about the cruise it would be that it is too short! In between eating a 3 course meal and watching a 1 hour show, it seem like there was no time to go outside and enjoy the world famous Sydney harbour view. I had to sneak outside during the show to capture this photo.

Isn't Sydney beautiful?
